2 minutes more is reasonable and not unlike any other similar package with lots of objects variations. The manual comes with a paragraph named
MSFS takes longer to start with GSX installed at Page 97, which offers some suggestions.
And, the new Livery Manager added in version 3.5.7 can further reduce loading times by reducing the amount of installed objects variations due to the available operators. The chapter in the manual which explains how to use it, starts at Page 117.
By the way to update GSX via the FSDT-Installer takes additionally more than 25 minutes on my system with a highspeed internet connection. Why this with GSX takes so long (compared to the programs) and is there a way to shorten those times?
Not sure what you mean with highspeed internet but, on a 1Gb/s it takes about 5 minutes for a full reinstall. Not possible to comment on update times, without knowing which version you were updating from.
