Latest GSX breaks 'some' Fenix liveries.
« on: June 19, 2025, 05:31:38 pm »
Went to fly a Fenix A321 today and the plane was loading in with no gears and no cockpit.  This happened with several 321, 320 and 319 liveries, but not the default Fenix liveries.  All the affected liveries were downloaded and installed through Fenix's Livery Manager so I uninstalled them all and reinstalled with no success.

I went to the Fenix Discord channel and asked if anybody else was experiencing the same problem where some user said he was and suspected that it was GSX causing it as it was the only thing that he had changed/updated since last flying a Fenix, but hadn't been able to test his suspicion.  So I delinked GSX from the sim and BINGO all the problematic liveries loaded in as normal.

Not sure how widespread this problem is or whether it's a GSX in combination with something else causing this issue, but it's apparent that removing GSX solved this problem for me so I won't be running GSX in the sim.

GSX was fully updated, I ran an update check and went through the Config process of unchecking and rechecking each aircraft for seated passengers.

If you know what could be causing this and there's a local fix I can do let me/us know otherwise I'll be waiting till a further update before trying GSX again.

EDITED TO ADD: This is happening in 2020 and 2024

Fixed by starting the installer again ( which will download an updated version of itself ), and entering the Config page to let it refresh all planes.

Thank you, that appears to have solved it in both sims.
