Why does KORD look like this?
« on: June 14, 2025, 03:32:28 pm »
Hi

Have some problems with KORD (Chicago) and GSX.
First I was using the FSDT version and ran into "GSX has been disabled on this airport by user settings"
Reinstalled GSX and still "has been disabled..." and also the jetways was hanging in the air. (no problems at other airports but KORD)
So I skipped the FSDT and reinstalled the ASOBO handcrafted one.
GSX was now working again but the position of jetways etc is still just crazy.
Enabling or disabling jetways in the Conf makes no change. I guess they should be disabled if I read the manual correct.
No GSX ini-files are used. The positions in the picture is after using GSX to warp me to the specific gate (M8)

Finally I "unlinked" GSX by moving the 3 GSX shortcuts out from the community folder and now eveerything looks nice.
Even the pictures shoiwng the aircraft at the gate before clicking on "ready to fly" looks correct and the aircraft is positioned correctly.
Gates are working etc

What's happening?

- Disable ASOBO KORD

- Be sure BOTH GSX and FSDT KORD are reported Installed (RELINk if they are not).

- From GSX menu, click "Exclude 3rd party" button

Well, working
But I was about to post another result.
I've done everything, see pictures.

And then it didn't work (jetways still in the sky), and then it worked, and then again it didn't work and now working again.
Also, only GSX Ini file from the installation is present and maybe most interesting, MSFS do not place me at the desried gate, I must use GSX to get there.
It seems things are not loaded entirely and how this can affect this case.

Thnks so far
Mats.
