How to disable GSX Jetways at 3rd Party Airports (2024)
« on: June 12, 2025, 12:23:08 pm »
Hi All,

I'm not sure if I'm missing something here as things may have changed since 2020, but I'm trying to figure out how I can disable GSX jetway replacements at 3rd party airports that have their own custom jetways.

Attached is a picture of Aerosoft ENGM which has its own custom jetways. If I have GSX enabled, the third party jetways aren't displayed (I presume they are excluded by GSX) and instead of get the GSX jetway replacements, which as you can see in the picture are out of place and not appropriate.

Since the interface of GSX doesn't appear to allow us to exclude third party airports yet, how do people get around this issue? The only way I've been able to figure it out is my not having the world-gsx-jetway folder thing in my community folder, but of course that causes other issues with displaying other GSE.

Any advice or is this just a case of wait until GSX allows us to exclude 3rd party airports?

Cheers

Something is very wrong with your installation if see GSX replacement jetways in MSFS 2024, since from several versions, jetways are in a SEPARATE package that is not even installed in MSFS 2024. That's why there's nothing in the Config page: there's no airport to protect its jetways to be replaced by GSX, because there are no GSX replacement jetways in 2024 to begin with!

Some reasons why you might still see them:

- You don't have the latest version.

- The removal of jetways from the main GSX package the installer performs might have failed for some reason. Uninstalling/Reinstalling GSX should fix this.

- Having manually copied the GSX packages in the Community folder would also cause this: we are updating the Addon Manager copy, but the sim is stuck with an outdated version that has been copied manually, so it's a real folder instead of a Symbolic Link. Remove all GSX packages from the Community if they are real folders, and in the installer RELINK.
