[Resolved] 6 key not responding on GSX menu

@virtuali, I don’t fully understand your reply other than SimConnect is the likely reason.

On a flight yesterday everything was fine from pushback to parking.

Occasionally, not always, the 6 entry is highlighted when I want to operate the jetway. It’s not a physical keyboard problem because if it was it would manifest itself outside of P3D.

And it’s always the 6 entry when it does happen. There are no obvious issues in the sim at all. It’s more mysterious than frustrating. I’ve had GSX for years but this problem has only started in the last few months.

The next time it happens I’ll post a screenshot. Unless something is reliably reproducible I appreciate it’s hard to analyse.

I've no idea why it would only impact that key. I wonder if you click on the Simconnect window, the 6 key would work. I find that quite often, if the key doesn't respond, I have to click on the Simconnect window, and then it responds, but then again, I usually undock the Simconnect window and drag it to another monitor, so I wonder if that has anything to do with why I run into that issue.

Kev, if by clicking on the Simconnect window you mean with the mouse then yes, that’s the only way to select the option.

Ah, so you’re getting the problem too. I thought I was alone. I only have one monitor for P3D. Other software such as Aivlasoft EFB runs on a networked PC. The problem seems unrelated to how many monitors you have on the sim PC.

I should clarify, you say you click on the jetway option to select it. What I'm saying is, if I click the top of the window, then hitting the key usually works. But I always undock the Simconnect window. I've never had this issue when I don't undock the window, but the only time I don't undock the window is if I'm testing something.

Hi Kev, I’m still getting this problem with docked and undocked windows. It’s something misbehaving In SimConnect that I’ll probably never get to the bottom of.

I can live with it. The mouse still actions 6 so as long as that works it’s just a minor irritation.
