MSFS Reinstallation Issues

I've uninstalled all my FSDT scenery and universal installer from my computer via the Add or remove programs on my computer. It did not ask to uninstall the Addon manager at any point.

I rebooted my computer to reinstall. I tried to install the universal installer with the Addon folder to another drive. It reached a point where it stated  Internal Protection Error, please contact the author!

I am not able to get passed this point nor install my FSDT MSFS scenery.

Can you please help me?

I think I found the issue...I knew I had run into this before, and fortunately, I posted the solution. Here is a copy of the steps I took several years ago:

I too use Sophos Home addition and had the same problem. I found I must add both couatil.exe and couatil2.exe as a local exclusion...

To do this:

1.Double click Sophos from your tray.
2. Click on HELP.
3. To the right, scroll to Trouble Shooting and click the down arrow.
4. You may need to scroll down, but look for the ADD button and click it.
5. Browse to the couatil.exe location and click it.
6. Repeat for couatil2.exe.

Now both files should be added as a local exclusion. After I did this, FSDT Updater ran without any issues.
