Problem vehicles transparent
jacques36:
Hello,
I have a problem with some vehicles which are transparent on the tarmac (vehicle for push back, small tractors...).
I am on Fsx and W10.
I was told to add a line in FSX.cfg "HIGHMEMFIX=1" or completely remove FSX cfg?
Can you help me, thank you in advance

It's not an "or", it's an "and". You must first remove the FSX.CFG and then, after the sim has regenerated one with all default values, add the HIGHMEMFIX=1 tweak to it.
After that, you'll have to reinstall GSX, because the new file won't contain the extra SimObjectPaths required by GSX and, if you have other add-ons that add their own SimObjectPaths to the FSX.CFG, you must reinstall all of them.
It might be easier to *move* it someplace else, and then take ALL the SimObjectPaths lines in the backup file, and place them back in the new FSX.CFG

Hello,
I do delete the FSX.cfg file.
I restart FSX which regenerates this file for me. I add HIGHMEMFIX=1 at the end of [GRAPHICS], I save but this one disappears??
I must not put the tweak in the right place?

Like any other file.

That's exactly what is supposed to do.

Are you doing it in the opposite order maybe ? As I've said:
--- Quote ---You must first remove the FSX.CFG and then, after the sim has regenerated one with all default values, add the HIGHMEMFIX=1 tweak to it.
--- End quote ---

It's in the correct place but, you must be sure you add it *AFTER* the sim has generated a new one, and be careful not corrupt the file, for example using the wrong editor (use Notepad), or making any other kind of mistake like adding extra commands, spaces, wrong letter, editing the file while the sim is open, etc.
Basically, any mistake you do, the sim will check the file and remove it AGAIN, because you made it invalid.

Hello,
Should I uninstall GSX before deleting the FSX.cfg file and before restarting FSX?
Thank you for your help
