Jetway goes crazy...
« on: January 02, 2022, 11:02:16 pm »
Hello again guys,

I appreciate it might relate to SODE rather than GSX but probably you could give me a clue what's going on here and how to resolve that.

So, Prepar3Dv5.3HF1U. LSGG scenery from Aerosoft. As soon as I asked GSX to attach a jetway, the jetway goes nuts... and it's the same behaviour for all stands in Geneva...

Any ideas??

Thank you.

Try to uninstall SODE, download it from the website:

https://sode.12bpilot.ch/?page_id=9

and reinstall it again.

It did not help but thank you anyway Umberto!

I have found this bug described at Aerosoft forum here (if someone has the same problem one day - you know where to ask):

I have not yet tried the fix described but hopefully it will work for me. It's interesting that after 1.5 years from first report they could not add the fix to their installer...

Sorry, I haven't noticed you were using Aerosoft Geneva and not FSDT Geneva. If I had, I could have saved you some time looking for an answer here because, if the scenery use XML SODE jetways ( opposite to GSX SODE jetways ), GSX is not really involved in any part of the process, so it's entirely a problem of either the scenery or SODE itself.

My guess is the scenery authors has been a bit thrown off by the very unusual jetways used on that terminal, which are reversed. We had to model a specific separate kind for our version of LSGG that is used only there, which of course works perfectly fine.

In fact, in another other post on that same thread on the Aerosoft forum, a user fixed the problem by replacing the jetways that came with the scenery with GSX's ones, which I daresay looks a bit better too...

Thank you Umberto. I confirm that fix taken from my link above works fine but I will also try your link to changes jetways to GSX ones for better view.
