Problems with GSX2 Re-Install **SOLVED**

I took your suggestion that maybe the fault was in one of my .cfg or .dll files... I deleted the FSX.cfg and DLL.XML files and let FSX create new files upon restarting FSX....put in a backup copy of exe.dll and my Scenery.cfg file looks normal.
I have tried re-installation as administrator several times but still get stopped at the same error as pictured by the other posts.
It seems odd that with thousands of users that only a few of us are experiencing this problem..I am wondering if there is a common denominator causing this  ???

We found the problem, and it's in the FSX installer, some Windows update must have changed something in the default Windows XML parser to behave a bit differently than it used to be, and this seems to have confused the FSX installer.

It's fixed now. To get the latest installer files:

- Delete this folder, if you have it:

Documents\GSX_Installer

- Run the small gsx_fsx_setup.exe, which should download the updated files

Run the small gsx_fsx_setup.exe??? which is what

garyghostrider:
It is a small (623Kb) .exe program that downloads the necessary files and initiates the GSX installation. You can download it from the FSDT GSX product page

GSX/GSX2 now installs and works like a charm on my system..Thank you for tracking down the conflict with the Windows Update!!!
