Belt loaders and container lift trucks

Hi guys. Am just wondering after unloading the aircraft with the containers or suitcases, are the belt loaders or container lifts not ment to stay at the aircraft until its reloaded for the next flight. Seems a bit silly having to reverse then drive bk up to the aircraft when it's time to reload.  Why not just stay put?

My understanding is leaving them where they were would have caused issues with catering trucks and fuel truck colliding.
