No Sound Fix

There are several posts going about reference no GSX sounds.

I had same issue with GSX for a while. No fix in sight.
Tried all the posts with scripting issues etc etc and checking windows sound mixer.
No sound device found in GSX audio.

Then i found an old post via Google.

Recently had a Nvidia graphics driver update.
This also installed unknown to me an Audio driver.

The audio driver appears to "delete" the ability of GSX audio using the openal32.dll file.

To fix this:

Go into the device manager
select
sound video and game controllers

delete any controllers that are not the same as what you have installed.
eg: go to your listing of Audio inputs and outputs in device manager. see whats listed there.

I did this and now my audio device is listed in GSX Audio settings and now i hae full GSX groundcrew again.

Hope this helps some who may still be experiencing this issue.

That's good to know. It's likely happening depending if your monitor has an HDMI port ( and if you use it ), and if it's used for sound or not. We heard it affects MSFS 2020 too, some users reported that some sound ( like rain ), cannot be heard if the video card is connected to the monitor by HDMI.

Uninstall not delete the Nvidia audio drivers...

Gsx should then work...
If not.

Go into gsx audio settings make sure Realtek audio is selected
