Bluefly747-8:
Hi,
here are the configs for the Captain Sim 767-300ER in the 4+4 and 6+2 Door configuration
To install:
1. Search for the file CS_B767-300ER-II_PW4060_4D / CS_B767-300ER-II_PW4060 in your C:\Users\...\AppData\Roaming\Virtuali\Airplanes\CS_B767-300ER-II_PW4060_4D / CS_B767-300ER-II_PW4060 or wherever you have your virtuali files installed.
2. Delete any previous gsx.cfg in that CS_B767-300ER-II_PW4060_4D /CS_B767-300ER-II_PW4060 file or simply replace it with this gsx.cfg
3. DONE!
-> NOTE CHANGE CFG NAMES TO gsx.cfg!!!
This config includes:
-Configs for the 6+2 and 4+4 Door Option
-Custom open/close checks
-Accurate door positions (Jetway; Stairs; Catering; Cargo with correct containers)
-Accurate Nose wheel and Engine positions
-Deice vehicle positions
-Fuel Truck position

Thank you for your work on this.
I don't have an Airplanes folder under C:\Users\...\AppData\Roaming\Virtuali
Per the GSX Manual:
An airplane can be customized by creating a file named GSX.CFG, that needs to be
placed in the airplane Root folder, the same that contains the aircraft.cfg file. For
example, if you want to customize the default Boeing 747-400, you will have to create
a GSX.CFG file in the FSX\SimObjects\Airplanes\B747_400 folder.
In my sim, the gsx.cfg files go in:
E:\Program Files\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4\SimObjects\Airplanes\CS_B767-300ER-II_PW4060
E:\Program Files\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4\SimObjects\Airplanes\CS_B767-300ER-II_PW4060_4D

Hi, thanks for your feedback.
Try loading up your sim with the CS767. Once loaded press alt, that opens up the "toolbar" at the top. Under "Add-ons" select "gsx" and then "Customize aircraft...".
At the top of the now opened window should be an info if gsx can read an aircraft configuration file and if so where gsx reads that from (for me and I´m pretty sure that´s default it is under %APPDATA%\Virtuali\Airplanes).
It might say in red letters that it cannot read a file, in that case just play with some variables at a door or so and just hit the save button, that should create a folder named either CS_B767-300ER-II_PW4060_4D or CS_B767-300ER-II_PW4060 depends on which version you did the customization.
Final step should be to replace the gsx.cfg in that just created file with mine and finally (you can do this while the sim is running) back in the sim go to "Couatl settings" in the "Add-ons" drop down menu and "Restart Couatl". Now everything should work fine.
I hope this little explanation is more or less understandable :D

Both locations are valid, and GSX will read a GSX.CFG file from both places, with the file in %APPDATA% having the highest priority.
- The location under Simobjects\Airplanes\AIRPLANE_NAME is supposed to be used by 3rd party airplane developers supplying a GSX configuration that gets installed with the airplane. Note that, with P3D V4/V5, this might not necessarily be under the simulator root, because add-ons using the native add-on.xml method of installation might install all the airplane files elsewhere, which is both possible and encouraged by the latest SDK.
Of course, if you downloaded a file made by somebody else, you can as well use this one, but if the airplane has some kind of live update system that might remove "unknown" files from its own folder, there's a risk losing it after an update.
- The location under %APPDATA%\Virtuali\Airplanes\AIRPLANE_NAME doesn't appear UNTIL you edit the airplane yourself with the GSX editor. This will create the folder and the GSX.CFG.
If the you downloaded a file made by somebody else, and you are missing the folder ( because you never edit this plane ), just create one, which must have exactly the same name as the airplane own folder under Simobjects\Airplanes.
There's a priority system so, if a GSX.CFG file is present in the airplane own folder, GSX will read that but, if another GSX.CFG for the same airplane is found in %APPDATA%, GSX will use that INSTEAD.
The advantage of using %APPDATA%, is that nothing will remove a file from there, since it's a place reserved for *your* settings. You can uninstall the airplane, and uninstall the whole simulator, but the file will still be there, unless you remove it yourself or reinstall Windows from scratch with the option to remove all your settings.
And, if you keep TWO copies of a GSX.CFG file, one in Simobjects\Airplanes\AIRPLANE_NAME and another one in %APPDATA%, you have a sort of backup that, if you press "RESET" in the GSX airplane configuration editor, it will remove the file in %APPDATA% but, instead of going back to a default configuration, it will revert to the one in Simobjects\Airplanes, so you won't have to restart from scratch again if you made some edits and realized the didn't work well.
