This problem doesn't have anything to do with GSX, it's a known issue with P3D V5 that has been discussed on the LM forum:

And affects EVERY program that uses the standard Simconnect menu, but also the default ATC window, and has been confirmed by multiple users it can happen even with NO GSX installed:
