The V/C View
Intrepid:
Hello all
I have been away for a while ,,nice to see so much activity on the forum ;D
I have an odd question ???
Has anyone been able to get the Zoom level for the Virtual Cockpit to show below 30%?
I have just reinstalled Fsx into a new computer and since I am using a tripple head 2 go
I am getting (believe it or not) a limited view, and need to zoom out further than the
30% limit,,
Any Ideas would be appreciated
Randy
Razgriz:
I'll dig through some stuff and see what I can find.
Edit:
Can't find anything in CAMERAS.cfg or FSX.cfg
Intrepid:
Thanks Raz
Its really wierd ,,my new computer renders the vc too large to use the head tracker
I tried moving the seat back but that interfears with your view when you look sideways
out the cockpit,,, who knows ???
Thanks for looking though

Voodoo:
Randy, I found someone that sounds like they have exactly the same problem talking about it on the NaturalPoint forums.
Here is what they said about their problem:
"I have been messing around with different settings in the fsx.cfg file. I decided to start with a new fsx.cfg after all the trial and error. All is well with the exception of my zoom.
The problem that I am having is that the zoom doesn't stretch back like it use to. Even though the zoom is set at .30, I still feel up close to the panel. For some reason or other, I can't stretch it backward like I have always done before.
Again, I didn't change anything in the camera.cfg file. It's still set at .30.
The ctrl+entr or backspace don't have any effect."
Then they subsequently post:
"The zoom factor is completely unrelated to the TrackIR. I forgot to run the optimization tool through Matrox (3H2Go). I am sure that is it as it adds some lines to the fsx.cfg file to make zoom like it's suppose to"
Don't know if any of this helps.

micro:
You can try going to widescreen mode.
Go into your fsx.cfg and under "display" you'll see the line: WideViewAspect=False .
Change it to true and see if that helps you out.
