Configuring the TDSX 727-100

I am trying to configure the Emergency Exit that has an embedded staircase. The exit comes out under the tail section of the plane. In 3D mode, I rotated the arrows so that the little blue box was in front of the stairwell but the flight attendants nor passengers will go that way. Any help would be appreciated.I have attached a picture
