Pushback for tail-draggers

(1/1)

DMdoc:
I have a favorite DC-3 that I fly on short-hop flights (such as KCHS to KMYR). When I use GSX's pushback tugs, I find that they approach from the front, end up under the body of the aircraft & engage with the tail-wheel, which doesn't seem to be prototypical. So I've given up on using GSX for pushback on tail-draggers, and instead use the shift-P function.

Does anyone have information on how the real DC-3s backed away from the gate? And, can GSX mimic the real method?

virtuali:
Yes, taildraggers are not supported by GSX pushback. We'll try to keep it in mind for future upgrades.

Dave_YVR:
DC3's didn't use gates, nor did they push back.

elmucki:
DC3's never pull up to a typical gate. They are usually found on Aprons or remote parking spaces.
