Vehicle livery at a particular airport
« on: June 30, 2016, 01:17:59 pm »
Hello,

I read the manual and found out that any airline livery can defined to be working at any airport by editing the sim.cfg document. Can you make the change at the back end so that every time there is an update for GSX I don't have to do it manually? This particular airline, Jet Airways, code JAI, should be all over India.

I want you to add
Code: [Select]
couatl.icaoprefixes=VA VE VI VOfor the vehicles wherever applicable.

Thank you.

That's why you have the "user" folder. If you download and install the repaint kit, and read the manual, you will see is very easy to do it, and you don't have to do it always, because when you make the update even with full installer, the user folder doesn't get overwrite. Just add the livery for the vehicles, give the ICAO code in sim.cfg from user folder at which airport you want to use that specific livery and you are ok. You don't have to modify every time!

Well that will work for me. But, in general, that particular airline has service all over the country. That's why, a change from back end would mean that it will be updated for everyone.

We made the change your requested in the vehicles update installer. Just download it again from the GSX main page. We added SpiceJet too.

Thank you very much virtuali!

Edit: Um, two more corrections to be done. For SpiceJet, it should be
Code: [Select]
couatl.atc_parking_codes=SEJ
And, for IndiGo, it should be
Code: [Select]
couatl.atc_parking_codes=IGO

We haven't added it because SEJ was already assigned in the big airlines list used by ADE to another operator so, it might be possible that scenery developers already used it for that one. Indigo has a different code in that list too.

Any chance you could add Delta (DAL) to KTPA?

The new override parking codes option in the parking customization editor does just that: it allows you to change the operator assignments without waiting for us to do it.
