Hi Umberto,

I downloaded and installed the latest GSX full installer this morning.

After installation, GSX is not recognizing any of the AFCAD files installed in the D:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Addon Scenery folder.

This was working fine with the previous version of GSX I had installed.

Could you please help me ?. These are mostly freeware sceneries though.. but dont understand why the new version would refuse to recognise them.

When I go into customise positions, it shows the AFCAD from the default scenery in FSX.

I have attached the OMDB Airport file here as an example...

Many Thanks

Hari

Try to force a complete cache rebuild:

- Exit from the sim.

- Remove the following folder

%PROGRAMDATA%\Virtuali\Couatl

- Restart the sim.

I tried as above... twice... still does not work.

Any other fixes ?

You should check the couatl.log to see if there was any reason why the files were rejected.

Where will I find the couatl.log file ?

Hi Umber to ... issue sorted.

The bgl files in add on scenery folder were 3MB+, and were being ignored.

I made the setting in the in I file to load up to 4MB and the issue is resolved.

Is that the right fix though ?, any side effects in GSX or FSX performance?

Thanks

No, it will just *slightly* increase the time to regenerate the scenery cache when a new scenery is being added.
