Option for no pushback - possible?
« on: December 15, 2015, 12:31:48 pm »
Hi Umberto,

I have seen a couple of threads about the change that was made (about a year ago?) to the logic that will always give you a pushback, straight if there are no other options.

I tried selecting none as the pushback option in the config parking space but it appears to mean there are no turns - not that are is no pushback.

Would it be possible to introduce an option to actually remove the tug and pushback option altogether on the parking config example; NONE STRAIGHT LEFT RIGHT (4 options)

Or when requesting push and start to have the option for no pushback? Just a start?

As I am flying to a few destinations that do not have tugs - it makes the whole turn around atmosphere just a little less real (Still one of the must have products for the flight sim franchise)

Might as well ask.

Thanks for your ongoing support.

Scott

This is how GSX worked initially, but since so many large airport that *should* have Pushback were made with the parking preference as "None", it confused users who thought GSX "didn't work", because their scenery was missing the pushback preference.

The issue is, we should add a separate option in the EDITOR, to specify the parking *really* shouldn't have a pushback, otherwise it won't be possible to make a difference between parking that are set as "none" because of an oversight (so we should provide with at least a straight pushback) or parkings that are really meant to not have it. But we feared this would confuse users even more...but it's surely something we can consider for an upgrade.

There are many airports and positions where you could push with a bigger airliner or just taxi out in a turn with a regional plane like the Dash8. An option to just move everything out of the way and give the engine start and all clear would be great!
