finally: how get Couatl in P3Dv2.5 ??

hi all,

i started over with P3D last days, so i got Lockeed Martins latest version
also got the migration tool and
the latest stand alone installer of FSDT
the result: i only see the add-on manager in the P3D menu, no couatl and no GSX
i tried the FSTD full installer too before,
i started couatl manually from the P3D folder (what indeed exists there),
i downloaded the newest couatl,
i read most of the forum threads regarding this,
but nothing helped, i dont have the couatl in the P3D and no GSX service available.
in the FSX what i have installed also, all is working fine

so again finally, what else could i try to make GSX in P3D working ?

The Migration tool is likely the culprit. As discussed many times already on the forum, it must be disabled if you use products that supports P3D natively, and properly recognize P3D as such.

But please understand this is not officially supported or tested by us. Our position, is that you should use P3D with proper P3D products only, and support developers that are making proper P3D versions of their products or at least the installers.

Do not use any migratory tool ever. Bad idea. Only use third party products that are designed for P3d

The the problem is most likely caused by the antivirus:

 - DOWNLOAD AND INSTALL with the antivirus entirely OFF

- Uninstall GSX. Reply YES when asked if you want to remove the Addon Manager and the Couatl Engine. Reply YES to both questions.

- TURN OFF your antivirus. Don't just exit from its interface, but turn off the real time protection. Actual wording changes between products, however, it's the option to scan every file that gets open in real time, without user intervention.

- Reinstall GSX with the Antivirus TURNED OFF. Don't launch the sim yet.

- Configure the antivirus to exclude the following files from scanning:

YourP3DFolder\bglmanx.dll
YourP3DFolder\fsdreamteam\Couatl\couatl.exe

- Now you can turn the antivirus back on, and launch P3D

- Check you are seeing BOTH the "Addon Manager" menu AND the "Couatl powered products" menu under the "Addons" menu.
