Is it necessary for you to change their names / titles by Drzewiecki Design? Should we ask them to modify the scenery or it's not necessary?

There IS a reason why ALL our objects, for ALL our sceneries, have titles starting with FSDT_ so, when FSUIPC had to add a similar feature to protect OUR objects to be removed by AES, Pete Dowson could simply add a rule to not remove ANY object with a name starting with FSDT, and that would fix all our past, present and future scenery objects from being removed...

If Drzewiecki Design could use a similar naming convention for all their objects, and would stick to it for future sceneries, we could have a permanent fix that will always work.

This is not really something they should do JUST for GSX sake. I see they named some objects with names as generic as "JetWay01". This is VERY risky, because if any other scenery or utility would try to create an object with the same title, a Simconnect error will happen, and the scenery won't show up, and those errors could be quite tricky to troubleshoot.

That's why it's best to create titles less likely to have conflicts with something else: if the name every objects with Drzewiecki_ I'm fairly sure they won't risk any conflict with anything, and we could have a rule in GSX that should be quite reliable.

EDIT:
We have been in touch with Drzewiecki Design, so I'm sure we can find a more longstanding solution, even for future sceneries they'll release.

And that is simply fantastic news.
I hope it will also be applied backwards in their already released sceneries.

Thank you once again, Umberto.

I think this only applies to the new SODE engine they've been using since Tallinn.  I have the freeware versions, GSX never removed anything.

which I hope they will apply into updates of the previously relesed sceneries.

Hello Umberto,

One question - there is new version of Tallinn. After the installation all jetways disappeared and I can only presume that it's something wrong with the scenery. But can you only confirm that the new object's titles shouldn't be in conflict with GSX (see attached file)?

The sim.cfg is fine, and GSX won't remove such objects. If you don't see the jetways right from the start (without having started a GSX function), there's something wrong with the installation of the scenery. GSX won't try to remove anything, unless you select a gate to be serviced.

Thank you very much! It turned out that it's caused by the installator issue.

Sorry I bothered you.

I think such sceneries use an encrypted ZIP file rather than an XML.
